The University of Alabama officially closes for Holiday Break at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025. However, for your convenience, the Crimson Tide Foundation will have limited staff in the office on the following days and times to assist you with questions and year-end gifts.

Please note: Checks will be delayed in being deposited as the University is closed for Winter Break. If your envelope is postmarked December 31, 2025 or before, your gift will recorded as a charitable donation for the 2025 calendar year.

The way you send your gift (mail/ship, phone, online) determines the deadline since your credit card gift is effective on the date the card is charged. All credit card gifts processed before midnight CT on December 31, 2025 will be recorded as a charitable donation for the 2025 calendar year.

Credit card gifts via U.S. Postal Service and FedEx/UPS shipping

• Your credit card gift must be received in the CTF office by 1 p.m. CT on December 31 in order to be charged.
• It is highly recommended to mail your gift to be received by the Crimson Tide Foundation before The University closes for Winter Break on December 19.
• Even if the postmark date is prior to December 31, if it is not received in our office by December 31 to be charged that day, it will not be recorded as a 2025 gift.

You may prefer to make your gift online or by telephone to avoid mailing or shipping delays and help ensure your credit card gift is processed in this calendar year.

Gifts of Securities

Stock transfers initiated and received on or before the close of the market on December 31 will be credited for 2025. To ensure proper gift credit to you, please notify us in advance ([email protected] or 205-963-5812) when you are ready to make a transfer.
